Hands-on configuration of all areas of Workday: Absence, Time, Compensation, Talent, Business Processes, Security, Reporting, Eligibility Rules, Calculated Fields.
Manage all communication with stakeholders and senior management. Manage client expectations. Manage teams of developers, testers, etc.
Recent assignments include:
Workday Implementation, comprising HCM, Payroll. Financials, Student. Workday “champion” for client all of whose employees have no prior Workday experience. Manage relationship with Workday Implementation Partner. Build all Time Off Plans, Leave Types, Eligibility Rules, Calculations, and any other elements to enable Absence. Validate, edit, and create Compensation Plans and Eligibility Rules. Validate Benefit Plans and instruct changes for Implementation Partner to accomplish.
Client moving from weekly/monthly accruals of all Time Off to lump-sum grants on January 1, for all U.S. States that allow that. Create several new Time Off Plans, Calculations to accommodate this change. Multiple changes in direction and requirements. EIB loads of multiple areas of data to accommodate Time Off Plan changes.
Manage final testing push, starting with approximately 4 weeks to go to Gold Freeze. Reconfigure Time Off Plans and Leave Types when most/all failed initial testing. Build testing harnesses for all Absence items and assist inexperienced staff through all testing. Security assessment and redesign – User-Based, Roles, BPSPs.
Security changes and Time Off Plan rebuilds for client and two subsidiaries. Create Test Plan with positive/negative testing scenarios to lead client’s non-technical H.R. staff through to successful deployment of twelve new Time Off Plans, with branching rules for Employee Type and Subsidiary Company.
Rebuild all Time Off Plans for client and four subsidiary companies, involving multiple layers of Lookup Tables and complex Calculations and Condition Rules, based on Tenure and Hire Date ranges. Build several new Time Off Plans to extend certain non-regulatory Time Off to two new subsidiary companies.
