Software Overview

Personio is a web-based HR solution, designed to help SMB’s manage employee data, vacation and leave, salary, automated payroll, performance, recruitment, and more. By combining features such as job posting, applicant sourcing and tracking, onboarding, time tracking, email integration and document storage, Personio aims to aid businesses with their recruitment processes and employee tracking.


Designed to assist with applicant sourcing, Personio allows users to post job advertisements to over 350 job boards using the multi-posting interface, with applicant information automatically transferred to the applicant tracking system (ATS) when an application is submitted. Within the ATS users can input and share applicant feedback between team members and hiring managers, send emails to applicants using built-in templates, and store documents and notes regarding interviews. Successful applicants can be accepted and onboarded using Personio’s customizable to-do lists, assignment of responsibilities, deadline definitions, and progress bars.


Utilizing Personio’s employee management tools, users can collect and manage employee data, automate recurring payroll tasks, export salary data, calculate bonuses, approve time off requests, track attendance and hours worked and provide downloadable payslips. The payroll can be automated within Personio. Employers can also use Personio to track performance based on individual KPI’s and schedule and document weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly or self-defined feedback meetings.
